Raageshwari: From Bollywood Star to Mindfulness Coach | A Journey of Resilience and Transformation (2026)

A true inspiration, Raageshwari's journey is a testament to resilience and self-discovery. Her story begins with a bang, quite literally, as she made her acting debut alongside the legendary Govinda and Chunky Panday in the film 'Aankhen' at just 16 years old. Overnight, she became a sensation, but her success wasn't limited to the big screen.

Raageshwari's star power extended to MTV, where she hosted 'Ek Do Teen', one of the channel's most popular shows, and the music industry, where she released hit albums like 'Duniya', 'Pyaar Ka Rag', and 'Sach Ka Saath'. Her album 'Y2K - Saal Do Hazaar' topped the charts, but little did she know that fate had a different path in store.

As she shot the music video for 'Y2K', Raageshwari battled malaria. Soon after, her health took a turn for the worse, and within a week of the album's release, she was diagnosed with Bell's palsy, a condition that paralyzed the left side of her face and affected her speech.

Despite the adversity, Raageshwari's spirit remained unshaken. She embraced physiotherapy and yoga, practices that not only healed her physically but also awakened her spiritually. Today, as a life coach and mother to a 10-year-old daughter, Raageshwari has rebuilt her identity as a 'Mindfulness' speaker, guiding others to find balance and inner peace amidst life's challenges.

At 25, Raageshwari's world was turned upside down when the left side of her face became paralyzed. It was a difficult time, leaving her bedridden for four long years. But she found solace and strength in yoga, a practice that taught her humility and self-acceptance.

In her own words, Raageshwari shared, "I started yoga during my facial paralysis. I would go to classes with my lop-sided face and low morale, surrounded by hundreds of students. My yoga gurus taught me to look within, to awaken my inner self. I learned to embrace my flaws and limitations, and to celebrate my strengths."

Yoga transformed Raageshwari's life and career. It showed her the path of humility, acceptance, and kindness, not just for herself but for others too. She reinvented herself as a mindfulness and manifestation coach, using her motivational speeches to impact lives. She even became a writer, collaborating with Penguin India.

In 2012, Raageshwari moved to London, where she met her now-husband, Sudhanshu Swaropp KC, a Human Rights lawyer. They married in 2014, and Raageshwari shared their unique relationship, saying, "We communicate through handwritten notes like children. We chase good character, love, and simple pleasures like picnics over wealth and power."

Raageshwari's simple mantra extends to her daughter's upbringing. She makes it a point to bring her daughter, Samaya, to India every year so she can experience the country's rich culture and history. Raageshwari also leads by example, walking her daughter to school daily and using public transport, embracing a simple life.

Beyond her acting and music career, Raageshwari participated in 'Bigg Boss 5' in 2011. But her true legacy lies in her ability to live a simple life, away from the glitz and glamour, setting an example for all.

Raageshwari's journey is a reminder that life's challenges can be overcome with resilience and a positive mindset. Her story inspires us to find our own path to inner peace and balance, no matter the obstacles we face.
